BLOG 2: MOE Masterplan for ICT

    Definitely from 1997, Masterplan 1 has pushed Singapore forward to a new trend of education. In the period of first plan, teachers had basic knowledge of ICT integration competency what follows next MP2 and MP3 to be published and developed.

    We can say that MasterPlan has totally changed the traditional environment and habit of teaching and learning, Singapore teachers have competitive strength in worldwide, they able to integrate knowledges and computer tech on teaching. They need to know how to design a good lesson plan and assessment on computer for sharing to pupil, then make them get these knowledges in highly effective.

    Indeed the world we are living now is a changing world, and this generation is required to be able to respond to it. Teacher as pupils' model, we have to show them the usefulness of ICT and teach them how to use ICT. I agree a good design of lesson plan with the application of ICT will certainly make the lesson fun.

    The Master Plans have changed the educational landscape over the last decade. ICT tools has helped teacher to design vivid and interactive lesson plan to deliver to children. I think we are lucky to equip with ICT tools.

    I agree that MP1-3 has brought a great change in Singapore's education. It is essential for teachers to implement the ICT in teaching strategies.

    I agree with you that masterplan lay out a blueprint for future teaching which is quite different from the traditional classroom environment. =)
